Our Q & A with Salomon Ducdubois Thiombiano.
With your busy lifestyle, how do you keep yourself humble and well-grounded?
"Humility, that is the key to discipline. I grew up with religious parents, they taught me how to behave in public and what really counts in the eyes of the Lord. I always tell myself, do not let the attention get to your head, help and share your knowledge with many people as possible."
You have many followers on IG and we've noticed you respond back to them and keep them encouraged to follow their dreams. Why is it important to you to reply to everyone's comment?
"I have been able to draw the lines between considering myself “a public figure” and “ an Artist”. I think it is very important to always remember how you got your start and share it with people who aspire to be like you. This is the principle of artist."
How do you keep your sense of self and find the time for your fans and consumers in an industry so far removed from those core values?
"I always try to avoid to postpone tasks or interactions, I try to handle them as they come."
Once one reaches a level of success in the fashion/media industry; What do you think changes a person?
"I think fame changes a person. One can go from being kind and simple to eccentric and self-centered."
What is the one thing you do daily or weekly to have of inner peace?
"I recently got into cycling. I take a class every day on my Peloton Bike, it helps ease the stress and anxiety."
In this era, as the world is becoming more detached and seemingly an expression of savviness is declining, which brand and who do you feel still posses a positive savvy lifestyle?
"Indeed, this is the reason behind my multiple trips to Italy and Spain. I embarked on quest of finding true craftsmanship. I can recommend Magnanni, L.B.M & Tagliatore."
